Mapping Emblematic Memories is a digital humanities project mapping various Colombian sites of memory related to the inner armed conflict. It also provides conceptual definitions to navigate the Colombian politics of memory. It uses and facilitates public access information from different and sometimes conflicting stakeholders trying to influence public debates about the Colombian past.

The project's objective is to visualize Colombian sites of memory while proposing a way to interpret them. The project aims to serve as a platform to think about the Colombian politics of memory critically. Additionally, it is also aiming to create a unified database of the Colombian sites of memory related to the Colombian armed conflict. Such a database should be helpful for scholars and activists looking to build peace in Colombia.
